1. Introduction

Scope. This privacy policy covers all applications One Million Authors, LLC creates and
distributes. It does not, however, apply to entities that One Million Authors does not own or control. By using or accessing One Million
Authors' applications and Web site, you agree to our privacy practices outlined
here.
2. Information We Collect
Information you provide us when you register for our mobile applications is
application specific or Web site specific. Some of our mobile applications
collect no data from you, others require minimal data in order to function
properly. The following sections detail the information collected for our Web
site and mobile applications, as applicable.
Information we collect when you interact with
the One Million Authors Web site:
- Access Device and Browser Information: When you access One Million Authors from a computer, mobile phone, or other device, we may collect information from that device about your browser type, location, and IP address, as well as the pages you visit.
- Cookie Information: We use "cookies" (small pieces of data we store for an
extended period of time on your computer, mobile phone, or other device) to make
One Million Authors easier to use, and to protect both you and One Million
Authors. You can remove or block cookies using the settings in your browser, but in some cases that may impact your ability to use One Million Authors.
Information we collect when you use WipeIt! or LikeIt!
- Nickname: WipeIt! or LikeIt! requires you to register with a nickname of your choice. This nickname is used only to indicate which posts (Wipes! or Likes!) you submit to our service to share with others. While anonymous, the nickname may be associated
with an IP address from your mobile phone.
- Photos: When you Wipe! or Like! somthing, you submit a photo which we associated with your current location via latitude and longitude if you have given the app permission to access your location. The photo, your nickname, and the location where the photo was taken are stored in our service and accessible to users of WipeIt! or LikeIt!
- Location: If you have location services activated on your device and grant access to WipeIt! or LikeIt!, we use your latitude and longitude coordinates as provided by your mobile device to retrieve nearby Wipes! and Likes! We also use your location data if you post a Wipe! or Like!
If WipeIt! or LikeIt! does not have access to your location, either because you revoke permission or if you have location services turned off, you will be unable to post Wipes! or Likes!, however, you will be able to browse Wipes! or Likes! globally with the map feature.
Information we receive from third parties:
One Million Authors does not receive any information about members from third parties.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use We use the information we collect to try to provide a safe, efficient, and customized experience. Here are some of the details on how we do that:
We use the information we collect to provide our services and features to you, to measure and improve those services and features, and to provide you with customer support. We use the information to prevent potentially illegal activities, and to enforce our
Terms and Conditions. We use a variety of technological systems to detect and address anomalous activity and screen content to prevent abuse such as spam. These efforts may on occasion result in a temporary or permanent suspension or termination of some functions for some
users.
4. How We Share Information
One Million Authors is about protecting your privacy. We only share your
information with third parties when we believe the sharing is permitted by you,
reasonably necessary to offer our services, or when legally required to do so.
To advertise our services. We may ask advertisers outside of One Million Authors to display ads promoting our services. We may ask them to deliver those ads based on the presence of a cookie, but in doing so will not share any other information with the advertiser.
To respond to legal requests and prevent harm. We may disclose information pursuant to subpoenas, court orders, or other requests (including criminal and civil matters) if we have a good faith belief that the response is required by law. This may include respecting requests from jurisdictions outside of the United States where we have a good faith belief that the response is required by law under the local laws in that jurisdiction, apply to
users from that jurisdiction, and are consistent with generally accepted international standards. We may also share information when we have a good faith belief it is necessary to prevent fraud or other illegal activity, to prevent imminent bodily harm, or to protect ourselves and you from people violating our
Terms and Conditions. This may include sharing information with other companies, lawyers, courts or other government entities.
Transfer in the Event of Sale or Change of Control. If the ownership of all or substantially all of our business changes, we may transfer your information to the new owner so that the service can continue to operate. In such a case, your information would remain subject to the promises made in any pre-existing Privacy Policy.
5. How You Can View, Change, or Remove Information
Information we collect from you or information you provide to us is voluntary,
although some information is required to use our Web Site and Apps. You
may request that information you provided to us is removed form our systems.
Removed and deleted information may persist in backup copies for up to 90 days,
but will not be available to others. Service specific policies regarding
the removal of information you provide us our found below.
WipeIt! or LikeIt!
- Posts (Wipes! and Likes!) automatically expire after 21 days of no new posts of
"I LikeIt too!" or "I WipeIt! too!" are recieved. To remove you
Wipes! or Likes! you must notify us via email to the contact listed on our
Contact page. By notifying us that you wish your Wipes! or Likes! to be
removed, you agree to stop using WipeIt! or LikeIt! and uninstall the
application from your device. One Million Authors will respond to your
removal request within 5 buisiness days. The request must include your
WipeIt! or LikeIt! nick name as part of the request as well as the number of
Wipes! or Likes! that you submitted while using WipeIt! or LikeIt! (Your total
number of Wipes! and Likes! maybe found on the "my wipes" page.)
6. How We Protect Information
We do our best to keep your information secure, but we need your help.
Steps we take to keep your information secure. We keep your information we
collect from you or information you provide to us on a secured server behind a firewall. We use automated measures to enhance security, such as analyzing account behavior for fraudulent or otherwise anomalous behavior, may limit use of site features in response to possible signs of abuse, may remove inappropriate content, and may suspend or disable accounts for violations of our
Terms and Conditions.
Risks inherent in sharing information. Although we make every effort to
protect users’ information, please be aware that no security measures
are perfect or impenetrable. We cannot guarantee that only authorized
persons will view your information. We cannot ensure that information
you share on One Million Authors will not become publicly available. We
are not responsible for third party circumvention of any security
measures on One Million Authors. You can reduce these risks by using
common sense security practices such as choosing a strong password,
using different passwords for different services, and using up to date
antivirus software. Report Violations. You should report any security
violations to us on our
Contact page.
7. Other Terms
Changes. We may change this Privacy Policy pursuant to the procedures outlined in the One Million Authors
Terms and Conditions. Unless stated otherwise, our current privacy policy applies to all information that we have about you and your account. If we make changes to this Privacy Policy we will notify you by publication here.
Consent to Collection and Processing in the United States. By using One Million Authors, you consent to having your personal data transferred to and processed in the United States.

Terms and Conditions. “Information” and “content” are used more generally and interchangeably here than in the
Terms and Conditions unless otherwise limited by the context.
